Alternate Provision

Not all students engage in mainstream education, and for the past 11 years our part-time provision has offered a viable alternative.

Since 2007 we've been delivering a variety of digital media qualifications to young people who  haven't been able to engage in mainstream education.  Our bespoke approach to learning allows us to tailor a programme to individual student interests, which helps to maximise engagement and achievement.

Our part time Alternate Provision Programme runs 3 days a week, primarily with Key Stage 3 and 4 students.  We work with PRU's, schools and other educational establishments from all over the West Midlands.  We take referrals throughout the academic year and students can enrol with us for any number of days per week.  Our aim is to ensure that all students leave us with at least one qualification, no matter how long they study on our programme.  As our provision is part time, it can be used in conjunction with student placements in either mainstream education, or if this isn't a viable option, another Alternate Provision offering GCSE's or functional skills.

As an NCFE registered centre, we have been cited as 'excellent' for both our facilities and innovative delivery models, featuring as NCFE's provider of the month for May '17.

All of our tutors have over 10 years experience of delivery within our learner groups and have professional competence in their specialist subject.  Our staff members have current enhanced DBS checks, First Aid and Safeguarding Training, which are updated on a regular basis.  Although we primarily deliver from our Birmingham site, we also take our equipment into schools and currently deliver qualifications in a range of schools, PRU's and Youth Centres in the West Midlands.
